About Us

CFP is 100% owned by the people that pick up the phones each day. Our local ownership, and the personal relationships that develop as a result, allow us to build and maintain lasting contacts with our clients for the benefit of all concerned.

Since our inception in 1994 we have grown steadily, focusing solely on the greater Canterbury area, and completing installations in many high profile sites within our region, including ChCh Women's Hospital, the Christchurch Art Gallery, the Arts Centre, University of Canterbury and numerous hotels, office buildings, schools and heritage buildings.

We are the preferred fire protection contractor for many of the large property managers in our region, such as:

Christchurch City Council - Harcourts NAI - Ryman Healthcare

Lyttelton Port Company - Plant & Food Research - Lincoln University

Hohepa Homes - Peebles Group - ChCh Polytechnic - Martin Wakefield

Our growth strategy and goals are simple—100% client retention. Our existing clients are our No 1 priority, and we enjoy the long-standing relationships we have with our customers.

Our Service

We are pleased to offer a full range of fire protection services, including the design, installation, maintenance and inspection of sprinklers, fire alarms, emergency lighting, hose reels, extinguishers and special hazard systems, and full BWOF / IQP services.

Independence

We believe that we are Canterbury’s only truly independent full service fire protection company. Unlike our competitors we have no financial interest in either the fire protection monitoring companies (ADT, AFAM, AlarmNZ) nor in the CCC accredited inspection authorities (FPIS, Hudson Inspection Services).

While we enjoy excellent working relationships with all of these related parties, we work for you—the building owner. We have no conflict of interests.
