Our People

Compliance Fire Protection is owned by Russell Penn, Brandon Koolen and Warwick Taylor. We are all Cantabrians through and through, and all enjoy raising our young families here in Christchurch.

We’re assisted in our office in Marshlands by Glenda, Jennie, Lisa and Claudia.

Together we manage a team of around 30 trained technicians, servicing fire protection systems exclusively within the Canterbury region.

Russell Penn: fire alarms & emergency lighting
Russell manages the electrical division of the company. He is a fully licensed electrician and has 32 years experience in the electrical and fire alarm industry.

Brandon Koolen: sprinklers, hydrants & hose reels
Brandon manages the fixed fire mechanical division of the company. He has an NZCE in mechanical engineering and has 32 years experience in the fire protection industry.

Warwick Taylor: building services
Warwick is a member of a national SIG relating to the delivery, installation and inspection of fire and smoke separations. He has also consulted for large national organisations.
